This project explores the relation between China and North Korea across the several border cities bathed by the waters of Yalu and Tumen rivers, a natural border between the two countries. Expecting to find hundreds of soldiers and huge fences I actually found myself facing a lonely and isolated border. Both communities share a landscape and they see each others, but they don’t talk to each others. They are neighbors and they aren’t.
