This is a series that collects my personal experiences in China over the course of four years. China got modernized in a ridiculously short period of time. I saw it changing first hand.

My images are a portrait of migrant workers. They capture its family celebrations and the hidden illegal factories in which they work. These photographs encapsulate the irony between ghost towns and families living in underground bunkers turned into homes.

Making this sort of work wasn't easy. Often, I encountered problems with police wanting to silence my documentation. At the same time, I was persecuted by traffickers who illegally trade with electronic waste.
